Obituary of David Arthur Haney

David "Chippy" Arthur Haney, 68, of Bretz, WV, passed away Friday, December 9, 2022, at Stonerise of Kingwood. He was born on November 5, 1954, in Morgantown, WV, a son of the late Arthur and Bessie Lee (McMillen) Haney. Dave was a 1973 graduate of Valley High School where he played football. He was employed at JenMar for 37 years. He was an avid Mountaineer football fan and loved his dogs. He is survived by his brothers, Jeff Haney and wife Alice of Pocatello, ID, Larry Haney of Herring and James Haney and wife Debbie of MD; several nieces and nephews; his beloved dog, Jessie. In addition to his parents, Dave was preceded in death by his brother, Kenny Lee Haney and his beloved dog, JenMar. To honor Dave's wishes there will be no public visitation or services. Interment will be in Masontown Cemetery. Donations in Dave's memory may be made to Preston County Animal Shelter, 278 Poor Farm Road, Kingwood, WV 26537.
