Obituary of Darrell Edward Stewart

Darrell Edward Stewart, 77, of Kingwood, WV, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 9, 2023. He was born in Kingwood, WV on May 30, 1945, a son of the late William Kenneth and Beatrice Alice (Trowbridge) Stewart. He was a loving husband, father, brother and uncle. He was a graduate of Kingwood High School and worked as a supervisor for Sheidow Bronze in Kingwood for 35 years. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, and WVU sports. Darrell faithfully attended the Independent Baptist Church of Kingwood and the Irona Assembly of God Church. Darrell is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Esther Maureen (Nedrow) Stewart; one stepdaughter, Gina Thomas of Oakland, MD; one sister-in-law, Dottie Stewart of Camp Ground; nieces and nephews, Pat Engels, Kevin Engels, Monte Howard Jr., Randy Howard, Robert Howard, Kenneth Stewart, Laura Stewart and Kim Taylor. Darrell was the last surviving member of his immediate family having been preceded in death by his first wife, Rebekah Stewart, infant daughter, Hannah Stewart; two brothers, William Stewart and Richard Stewart; three sisters, JoAnn Howard, Doris Engels and Sandra Stewart and one nephew, John Howard. Friends may call at the Independent Baptist Church of Kingwood, 917 N. Preston Highway, Kingwood, WV on Thursday, May 11, 2023, from 11:00 am until the 1:00 pm time of service with Pastor Terry Cumberland and Pastor Tim Warnick officiating. Interment will be in Camp Ground Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Darrell's memory may be made to the Foreign Mission Program at Independent Baptist Church of Kingwood, 917 N.
