Howard was always so fun to be around. His stories were epic and he never shied away from who he was. A true patriot and he was proud of it! A Vietnam veteran that knew the sacrifices this country had to make to be where we are today. I didn’t get to see him often, but I will miss him. Condolences to Angela and the family.

My most sincere condolences to all of you on your loss. I will miss our breakfasts, I will miss my friend, the long conversations, the debates, the stories of the past, and a perspective that could only come from Howard's unique "map of the world" as shaped by his experiences. A patriot, a friend, full of charisma, to me seemingly always cheerful, opinionated, unashamed to bow his head to give thanks, flawed like all of us yet possessing something endearing that made him measurably more lovable than average, irrespective of the "sharp" edges. My words are wholly inadequate to properly express my shared sorrow for your loss. So as my eyes fill as I write this, I will stop with the words and just wish you as much peace and comfort as possible as you grieve this most hefty loss.
Most respectfully,
Ron Christ
