Obituary of Kimberly Dawn Edmunds

Kimberly Dawn Edmunds, 56, of Bruceton Mills, West Virginia passed away Monday, July 24, 2023, with her family by her side. Kim was born on May 23, 1967, in Ypsilanti, Michigan, a daughter of the late Jim and Doreen (Greenwood) Davis. She grew up in Michigan where she made many lifelong friends and celebrated the birth of her twins, Justin and Alisha. She was a dedicated employee and spent numerous years working retail at Meijer before moving to West Virginia. While in West Virginia, she worked several more years in retail at Goodwill of Sabraton. She enjoyed working and being with friends, but most of all, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed family vacations to the beach, fishing trips with her grandkids, sleepovers, and the magic of holidays. Her grandchildren were the light of her life. Kim was a warrior, the strongest person you'll ever know. She battled cancer for over two years and remained the backbone of her family. She kept her faith in the Lord and fought with everything she had. She loved with all her heart and saw the best in everyone. Undoubtedly, she had many best friends. Kimberly is survived by a son, Justin Edmunds and wife Anna of Arthurdale; a daughter, Alisha Edmunds-Shiflet and husband Andrew of Bruceton Mills; sister Deborah Johnson and husband Wilbur of Maryville, Tennessee; four grandchildren, Isabella, Derek, Brantlee, and Bennett; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Friday, July 28, 2023, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Sam Moon officiating.
