Obituary of William Henry Fletcher

William Henry Fletcher, 94, of Morgantown, WV, passed away Thursday, August 10, 2023, at home.

He was born in Monongalia County, WV on September 15, 1928, a son of the late Lester A. and Lola M. (Johnson) Fletcher.

William retired from Mon Health Medical Center where he worked as a custodian for 22 years. He was a member of the Masontown Nazarene Church.

William is survived by one daughter, Polly Sue Fletcher of Kingwood; one brother, David Eugene Fletcher of Delaware; one sister, Shirley Taylor of Tennessee and a special loving friend and caregiver, Joann Clark.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Patsy Ruth (Carr) Fletcher; his second wife, Sheila Mary (Lancaster) Fletcher; three brothers, Charles, James and John "Sam" Fletcher and three sisters, Mildred Westbrook, Margaret "Marthy" Lambert and infant, Evilena Grace Fletcher.

Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, from 10 am until the 1 pm time of service with Pastor Sam Moon officiating. Interment will be in Bethlehem Cemetery.
