Obituary of Duncan Eric McDonald

Duncan Eric McDonald, 64, of Masontown, WV, passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at Mon Health Medical Center in Morgantown. He was born in Morgantown, WV on January 3, 1959, a son of the late Wilbert and Nancy (Shaffer) McDonald. Duncan was a loving husband, father and brother. He worked as a mechanic for Petitto Mine Equipment for many years. Duncan was a jokester and was well liked by everyone. He liked fishing and enjoyed watching Steelers football and WVU sports. Duncan's greatest joy was spending time with his family. He is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Monica (Hollen) McDonald; one son, Zachary McDonald of Masontown; one brother, Tim McDonald and companion Virginia of Morgantown; three sisters, Cathy McDonald, Jackie Paugh and Tammy McDonald, all of Morgantown; one sister-in-law, Sue McDonald of Mount Morris, PA and nieces and nephews, Jared Paugh, Ashley Yoke, Heather Honeycut, Mathew McDonald, Andy McDonald, Kristie McDonald and Amber McDonald. In addition to his parents, Duncan was preceded in death by one brother, Kevin McDonald. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home on Friday, August 25, 2023, from 4 until the 7 pm time of service with Reverend Paul Watkins.
