Obituary of Cindy Diann McCrobie

Cindy Diann McCrobie, 61, of Reedsville, passed away Tuesday, September 5,2023 at home after a brief illness.

Cindy was born in Kingwood, on November 24, 1961, a daughter of the late Roy and Betty Shaffer of Corinth, WV.

She attended WVU, FSU, Potomac State and WV State Police Academy and received a bachelor's degree in education and criminal justice. She taught for many years at Preston High School, served as a deputy Sheriff and was elected in 2022 to serve as Preston County Magistrate. She loved her family and camping.

Cindy is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Rich McCrobie; a son, Richard Darin McCrobie and Hannah of Reedsville; two daughters, Brittany Dawn Carpenter and Samuel of Masontown and Marlee Dee France and Zackery of Albright; five grandchildren that she dearly loved, Griffin Levi and Gracelyn Renee McCrobie, Zeedan Richard And Leila Kate Carpenter and Kip Elwood France; two sisters, Linda Savage and Mike of Mountain Lake Park, MD and Debbie Lewis and Gary of Salt Lick.

Friends and family may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Friday, September 8,2023 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and on Saturday, September 9, 2023, from 10am until the 11am service time with Pastor Maria Wiblin officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethlehem Cemetery in Reedsville.
