Obituary of John Blake Lipscomb
John Lipscomb, 53, of Terra Alta, passed away Friday, November 17, 2023, from complications of the flu at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, with his family by his side.
John was born in Norfolk, VA, on September 21, 1970, a son of Arthur and Molly (Street) Lipscomb.
He was a 1988 graduate of West Preston High School and was employed at ResCare in Terra Alta, he will be missed by his wonderful co-workers. He loved his family, the Pittsburgh Steelers and playing video games.
John is survived by a son Jonathan Lipscomb and Katrina Doyle of Clarksburg; a daughter, Molly Ann Lipscomb and Chris Lovins of Huntington; a grandson, Austin Blake Lipscomb; a brother, Art Lipscomb and wife, Aimee of Kingwood; two sisters, Mary Anne Turner and husband, Travis of Masontown and Paula Trickett of Youngstown, OH; eight nieces and nephews, Bailey and Jackson Turner, Cassie Majetich, Vashalee Cramer, Corbin Lipscomb, Nikki Waddell, Chelsey and Julianna Warner; mother of his children, Charlene Lipscomb; several aunts, uncles and cousins and his cat, Lucy.
He was preceded in death by his brother in-law, Jay Trickett.
Friends and family may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Monday, November 20, 2023, from 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held 1 pm, Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at the Field Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Masontown.
