Obituary of Curtis Darwin Dalton Sr.
Curtis Darwin Dalton, Sr., 93, of Masontown, WV, passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at Kingwood Healthcare Center.
He was born in Masontown, WV on August 15, 1930, the son of the late Clement and Cora (Nuce) Dalton.
Curtis was a member of the First Baptist Church in Masontown where he was a trustee and janitor. He also served as a councilman for the town of Masontown and volunteered at the Masontown Senior Center. He was a retired truck driver and a Veteran in the U.S. Army. He served as a tank commander while stationed in Germany.
Curtis is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Greta (Dalton) Dalton; son Curtis Dalton, Jr. and wife, Maria of New Market, MD; daughter, Lisa Lenhart and husband, Jim of Masontown, WV; grandchildren, Ashley Lenhart and companion, Gage Pifer, and Sofia Dalton; great-granddaughter, Ember Pifer.
In addition to his parents, Curtis is preceded in death by a sister, Lucille Humphrey.
Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown, WV on Friday, November 24, 2023, from 2:00-6:00 p.m. and on Saturday, November 25, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. until the 1:00 p.m. time of service with Rev. Ray Frankhouser officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Morgantown.
