Shirley and I did not share much of our adult lives other than traditional family gatherings. We also did not talk much on the phone. However…she was there for me one time that I’ll never forget. After returning to my room, following the delivery of my second boy , who did not make it. She called me. Consoled me. As she had experienced many losses in attempts to bring babies into her life. She said to me “just go home and hold Rockland as long as he’ll let you. Then find a place to cry it out.” My heart goes out to Cindi and her husband, her grandson Justin, Randy and my family, as I know she touched others lives in special ways as well. Rest In Peace, sister. You are loved and will be missed.
